Nearly there

Well Lani is almost completey walking...she will walk between furniture and stands up and walk to things now. She is also a complete pain and is getting into everything!! She is so different to Kayne it's unreal. She weighs 24lbs now; Kayne is about 28lb!!

Kayne has been awful after nursery for the last month or so. Absolutely awful about eating, whingy moaning, won't do anything for himself, will not/ can not chose something to play by himself - it has to all be directed by me, would not listen.
He hasn't been the past 3 days and he has been fantastic - i do not know what is going on. I thought he may be bored but they seem to be dealing with him approapriately, so mum suggested that maybe he was 'overstimulated'. Which made me think about the 'over-excitabilities' (OE) i had read about. Being a member of NAGC meant i could look at the factsheets for the OE's and i found that he fits in with the Knowledge OE (and possibly others).

There are books on gifted children and what they are like but not how to deal with them. It's like having a map and not being able to read it...It's so hard to get any help... And you can't shout 'I think my child is gifted, what do i do?' well, not without 10 people laughing, or jeering, or putting you down for pushing them too much. i didn't ask for him to be this way, actually sometimes i wish he was 'normal' so the development trackers on the internet actually fitted him, and the 'age-appropriate' toys actually held his interest.
